The organisers of the Perform in Perth Festival are delighted to invite audiences to enjoy some images from this year’s outstanding performances, showcasing the remarkable talent of young dancers and performers from across the region.

Held at the Assembly Hall and Three Court Hall, North Inch Community Campus, the festival featured a vibrant programme of Scottish Country Dancing, ballet, modern, Highland, song and dance, and baton twirling across a full weekend of competition.

One of the highlights of the festival was the Scottish Country Dancing evening session, adjudicated by Jim Stott, where teams competed for the prestigious Helen Farquhar Trophy. Performances from the Julie Young Dancers demonstrated precision, musicality and teamwork across multiple age categories.

The evening continued with senior team performances competing for the James Neill Cup and the George Mortimer Trophy, before concluding with a lively non-competitive showcase, celebrating the joy of dance.

Diverse Performances Across the Weekend

Across Saturday and Sunday, audiences were treated to an exciting variety of performances:

  • Ballet, Song & Dance, and Contemporary classes adjudicated by Murray Grant, featuring dancers from Inspire Dance StudioPirrie Performing Arts, and Julie Young Dance Studios
  • Duets, trios, and group performances, highlighting creativity, storytelling, and technical skill
  • Highland dancing, celebrating Scotland’s rich cultural heritage

Throughout the festival, performers demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion. Awards such as the Helen Farquhar TrophyJames Neill Cup, and George Mortimer Trophy recognised excellence across team performances, while individual classes showcased emerging talent at every level.

From graceful ballet solos to energetic group routines and traditional Scottish dance, the recordings capture the spirit, skill and enthusiasm that make Perform in Perth such a special annual event.
